Dear Colleague:
The inaugural Congress, Perspectives in Interpandemic Influenza will take place 12-14 October 2007 in Madrid, Spain. This Congress will update you on the latest treatment and management options available to manage influenza, give you a chance to hear from the leading researchers in the field, and provide an environment to discuss best practices with your colleagues.
With the increased awareness and focus on the threats of emerging infectious
diseases, comes a renewed interest in the treatment and management of
influenza. This spotlight on the field has allowed for new research into
therapeutic approaches that significantly benefit patients. While much
of the attention has been on pandemic influenza, this Congress will focus
on what you, the clinician, need to know to better treat your patients
with interpandemic influenza (seasonal flu) It will also examine the
new immunization approaches that will make influenza vaccine even more
effective
Thus, this Congress is specifically designed for infectious disease specialists,
immunologists, family practitioners, hospitalists, internists, epidemiologists
and other healthcare professionals interested and involved in the treatment
of patients with interpandemic influenza. Our panel of international
experts will touch on the implications, management, and treatment options
that are likely to affect your future practice.
For this inaugural Congress, we are excited to be gathering in Madrid, Spain – as the third largest city of the European Union, Madrid has preserved its cultural appeal and history while leading Spain to new international heights.
This meeting promises to be an exciting, interactive and educational experience for attendees from all relevant disciplines. We hope you will be able to join us, as your perspectives and contributions add immeasurable value to this international Congress.
